Duties:Loan Screener will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:
• Provide support to loan representatives, underwriting staff, and documentation staff.
• Prepare loan files by reviewing loan applications and clarifying or obtaining additional information.
• Process and review all existing conditions and/or new conditions of each loan.
• Ensure that all loans are in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Determine necessary channels to perfect lien based on collateral type (eg. work with Appraisal Services to submit appraisal, evaluation, validation, flood requests, order title work and title insurance from area attorneys, and conduct lien searches).
• Facilitate receipt and approval of appraisal, environmental assessments, insurance coverage, title opinions, title insurance and personal property condition reports.
• Review approved applications and contracts to ensure stipulations and conditions have been met and are in adherence to company policy prior to loan closings.
• Obtain insurance verifications.
• Provide assistance to internal customers regarding loan documentation and processing.
• Obtain and review loan documentation for accuracy and authenticity.
• Assist branch personnel in scheduling loan closings.
• Assist in other duties as assigned by the Small Business Lending Director.

Qualifications:• Prior lending experience, credit experience or exposure to a lending environment
• Four year college degree in Business, Accounting or Finance a plus
• General understanding of Bank Credit Policy and Underwriting Standards
• Proficiency with Laser Pro or other loan documentation software
• Customer Service Oriented
• General understanding of bank regulations and compliance laws
• Experience with Microsoft Office software
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Attentive to fine detail
• Willingness to work in a team environment
• Ability to react quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
• Demonstrate proficiency of policies and procedures in order to utilize good judgment in making sound decisions
