Description:POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for identifying, soliciting, developing, managing, servicing and expanding banking relationships in an assigned market by offering a full range of mortgage products and services to existing and prospective customers.

Purpose of Job:
Generate quality mortgage loans at the expected production level and execute the highest level of customer service.

Duties:1. Produce mortgage loans that comply with investor guidelines, acceptable lending practices, and Federal regulations

2. Evaluate loan requests, analyze financial data, and determine qualification of collateral and customer credit history

3. Network with builders, realtors, and other industry professionals to source mortgage loan opportunities

4. Develop new sources of business and retain existing business as established in the marketing plan

5. Develop and maintain knowledge of internal, regulatory and secondary market guidelines

6. Cross-sell other bank products and services to mortgage loan customers (secondary market products or in-house mortgage products)

7. Prepare files for underwriting including preparation of loan approval sheet within required timeframes
Qualifications:1. Bachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent banking experience

2. Three or more years of mortgage lending experience

3. Strong customer service skills

4. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

5. Demonstrated knowledge of current regulations and laws surrounding mortgage lending

6. Demonstrated sales and networking abilities

7. Demonstrated proficiency using basic computer software, such as Microsoft Office

8. Ability to travel
